Something You May Not Know About Me...

I used to wear combat boots. I served and retired as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. I was stationed in a variety of locations to include South Carolina, Washington, D.C. and of course, Hawaii. I've had temporary assignments in Korea, Japan, the Philippines and throughout the U.S. I spent my years in the Air Force working and training closely with F-16 pilots as an intelligence officer. I've held positions as a Staff Executive Officer at Headquarters, Pacific Air Forces, and served as a Military Analyst and Air Defense expert in Washington, D.C. Working in a fast-paced, high profile environment all those years taught me how to think quickly and be a creative problem-solver. It was a great career and my years in the military provided me a solid foundation for the service and leadership values I hold today.

This is a photo of me when I was a junior officer at Shaw AFB, my first duty assignment and getting ready to take an orientation incentive flight. I was fortunate to have a wonderful military mentor, Captain Gary North. (He later went on to become a 4-star general and we're still friends to this day.)

How I Got Started as a Coach & Trainer

In 2007 I had the privilege of listening to Jack Canfield, author of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series and "The Success Principles," and one of the stars of the popular movie "The Secret," give the keynote speech at an international conference. It was the most memorable keynote I'd ever heard. I was so impressed and I recall thinking to myself, "I would love to share what he's teaching."

In 2010, I realized my dream of training with and being personally mentored by Jack Canfield when I was selected as one of only 20 people worldwide to attend an exclusive retreat with him and other world-renowned transformational leaders. That experience changed my life and the views I held about myself and my own potential. In Jan 2011 I was selected to be one of Jack's legacy trainers and was personally coached by him to teach The Success Principles--the same information he'd given at that keynote talk that captivated me. The Success Principles are the foundation for my coaching and training experiences which are designed to empower people to get from where they are to where they want to be.

Life Lessons

Aside from all the military and personal development training I’ve had, my most important lessons come from life itself. I've been divorced and a single mom, lost my second husband to cancer, and survived a cancer battle of my own while navigating several career changes. I know what it’s like to live with immense stress. At one point a doctor told me, “Lady, I don’t know what’s going on, but unless you get rid of some of the stress, you’re going to wind up with two motherless children.” That was one of the first turning points in my life and one of the main reasons I'm quick to help people manage their stress and live a different lifestyle.

I'm in a happy new chapter of life now, one filled with empowerment, positivity, and the enjoyment of new experiences. And I'm putting everything I've learned into the work that I do to help others be the best they can be. I look forward to helping you re-design your life and experience more joy and satisfaction with every single sunrise.

Cheering for you!
